About me. What I do.
I am studying for an MA In Applied theatre, politics, social change and performance at the University of East London. I write stories, songs and sketches, character portraits; mostly fictional. Profiles of places, reflections and poems. I make short videos and audio recordings. I’ve spent many years in the theatre, in almost every capacity and had many other jobs besides. I’ve been a busker, played in pubs and folk clubs with my guitar and concertina. I’ve worked in kitchens ashore and afloat. On blue water, the canals and waterways, I’ve sailed tall ships, cabin cruisers, work boats and dinghies. After many years of addiction and running on self will, I have become a person of faith. I take full responsibility for all my mistakes but on the plus side, I have never lost my sense of humour.
